As for why she believes poetry is important in the modern day, she cited U.S. poet laureate Ada Limon’s poem “In Praise of Mystery: A Poem for Europa,” which the National Aeronautics and Space Administration is planning to send on a mission to Europa, one of Jupiter’s moons, next year. “That’s why poetry is important because it could literally go to Jupiter’s moon,” Antigua said.
