Writers on Campus Series: Maureen Stanton and Diannely Antigua

UMass Lowell professor Maureen Stanton is the author of Body Leaping Backward: Memoir of a Delinquent Girlhood, which People Magazine called “a blazingly important memoir,” and Killer Stuff and Tons of Money, winner of a Massachusetts Book Award. For her nonfiction, she has received an Iowa Review prize, Pushcart Prizes, and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the MacDowell Colony.

UMass Lowell graduate Diannely Antigua’s debut collection of poetry, Ugly Music, won the Pamet River Prize from YesYes Books. Antigua received her MFA from New York University, where she was awarded a Global Research Initiative Fellowship to Florence, Italy. She is the recipient of additional fellowships from CantoMundo, Community of Writers, and the Fine Arts Work Center Summer Program.
